Fear attacks our thoughts. When we’re scared, our brain turns to goo. It’s hard to remember what we’re supposed to do. Trying to remember key truths when I’m panicking is nearly impossible, so I made up 3 simple steps to follow to beat anxiety when it shows up uninvited.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. ~ Proverbs 3:5-6
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” ~ Jeremiah 17:7
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. ~ Psalm 56:3Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. ~ Proverbs 3:5-6 #anxiety #trustgod Click To Tweet
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. ~ John 14:1
Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. ~ Luke 12:22
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. ~ Colossians 3:15
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. ~ Philippians 4:6-8
I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. ~ Psalm 34:4
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. ~ 1 Peter 5:7
Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken. ~ Psalm 55:22Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. ~ Philippians 4:8 #overcominganxiety #positivethinking Click To Tweet
